Am Diesberg in Overhetfeld steht die im Volksmund genannte \u201eElmpter Kapelle\u201d, die vermutlich von den Herren von Elmpt erbaut wurde. Die Kapelle \u201eMaria an der Heide\u201d wurde erstmalig 1703 in einem bisch\u00f6flichen Bericht erw\u00e4hnt. Die urspr\u00fcngliche Wallfahrtskapelle wurde im Jahre 1734 um einen Saal erweitert. Im Inneren beherbergt sie einen kleinen, kostbaren flandrischen Schnitzaltar. Er wurde etwa 1530\/1540 in Antwerpen f\u00fcr das Kloster Gr\u00e4fenthal nahe Kleve hergestellt. 1761 \u00fcberlie\u00df ihn die Abtissin ihrer auf Dilborn lebenden Schwester. Der Altar soll f\u00fcr die Schlosskapelle zu gro\u00df gewesen sein und wurde deshalb der Elmpter Kapelle vom Schlossherrn geschenkt.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
